Greetings from Hanover and Christian Union Vox. We are hastening toward the end of the fall term and fittingly, there is snow falling as I write. In a departure from the normal Dartmouth calendar, students will take exams at home this term and classes end on November 17. It's been a delight to meet the Class of 2024 and I'm grateful that they, and the Class of 2022, were on campus this term. The ministry has seven different Bible courses taking place; our Leadership Lecture Series, The Vine, happens every Friday night; and there are multiple prayer meetings each week.
- Please pray for the Class of 2024 as they complete their first college term. Pray for deepening relationships not only among their class but with upper-class students as well. Pray that their engagement and attendance would not wane as the term ends and finals loom. Pray that the Lord would strengthen the already strong leaders in this class and that more students would become a part of the ministry.
- Pray for all of our students as the nation moves beyond Election Day. Pray that wisdom and gentleness would mark our political conversations. Pray for unity regardless of the election’s outcome and that our students would be a calming influence and a loving presence on campus.
- Pray for our off-campus students as they fight Zoom fatigue and feeling disconnected. Pray that they would feel God's comfort and to know that they are missed here on campus.
There is so much to praise God for this term. The executive team and other student leaders have been exemplars of joy and of service, the ministry has seen a few students come to faith and many nonbelievers involved in our events. In light of so many schools being completely remote, CU Vox is grateful to have students on campus and we are thankful that none of our students have tested positive for Covid 19. What a wonderful God we serve!
