Greetings to everyone from Hanover and Christian Union Vox. Classes are over and the on-campus students have returned home for finals and a much-needed break. We entered the fall with great uncertainty and many questions but God richly provided and we experienced a connected, joyful, and exciting term. It was a boon to have freshmen students on campus and to see them grafted into the community here. In addition to the Class of 2024, the junior class (2021) was on campus and it was a blessing to reconnect in person after a virtual spring and summer term.
The term ended with our yearly Thanksgiving celebration. Each year the freshmen class plans and executes an event where the whole CU Vox community gathers to eat, worship, and reflect on the term. Adamant that the event would not be virtual, the freshmen creatively planned a meal while keeping to the college's Covid guidelines. Five different locations were used with nine or fewer people gathered at each location. It was an incredible time of fellowship, worship, prayer, and thanksgiving. It was a wonderful way to end what was a unique but exciting term here at Dartmouth.
- Please pray that the relationships forged during this term will continue to deepen in spite of the term break. Also that the students' hunger for God's word and time spent in prayer would not wane but would flourish over winter break.
- Pray for the students who came to faith this term as they leave their new brothers and sisters and the Christian community on campus. Some are headed to homes that won't be excited about their new faith in Christ. Pray that God would sustain and strengthen their new faith.
- Join me in thanking God for the remarkable work of our student leaders this term. They were models of self-sacrifice and joyful service. Pray that these students would know they are appreciated and that God is blessing their work here on campus.
Thanks for your partnership in the ministry and we wish you and your family a healthy and wonderful Christmas season!
Blessings,
The Faculty and Students of CU Vox
