As I write this letter, it is spring break here in Hanover. There’s no beach and it certainly isn’t warm, but students (and myself) are enjoying some much-needed rest and refreshment. This spring break marks one year of living during a global pandemic. Campus life and our lives have changed significantly, but what has not changed is our God who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. We are clinging to that truth here at Dartmouth as well as celebrating the ways God has continued to pour out His blessings and grace on us. As we enter spring term would you pray for:
Our new executive team as they assume the leadership role on campus. Pray that God would give them energy, creativity, wisdom, humility, and passion to lead well this term.
Our spring sport athletes as they endure yet another missed season. They are greatly frustrated and disappointed that all other conferences are playing while they cannot. Pray that God would give them contentment and strength to endure as well as an abundance of patience and grace.
Our seniors who start their final term on campus as undergrads. Pray for their upcoming career decisions and that God would prepare them for this new step in their lives. Pray that they will finish well both in the classroom and in their relationships with fellow students. Pray that God would banish any anxiety they are feeling about moving on and they would be filled with purpose and peace.
The class of 2025, that God would bless us with many mature and faithful students who would readily jump into the CU Vox community. Even though they aren’t here yet, pray that God would fill this incoming class with students who love the Lord and students whose hearts are softened so they might hear and receive the gospel.
