“This is my Father’s world and to my listening ears, all nature sings and round me rings, the music of the spheres.” It is the spring term here at Dartmouth. If you’ve ever been to Hanover in April it doesn’t mean warm temperatures or even the end of snow, but it does represent newness and rebirth.
A new term is an opportunity for our students to develop new habits and new friends. This term we are joining with the other campuses in focusing our attention on evangelism. Our desire is that many Dartmouth students would come to faith and experience rebirth in Christ.
A few highlights from Hanover and CU Vox are our new student executive team who took over during spring break and our upcoming retreat. I’m excited by the energy and creative ideas this new team has and thankful that our retreat, postponed from January, will take place.
Join me in praying for these three requests:
Pray that our spring retreat will be a fruitful time of fellowship and instruction. Praise God for the wonderful alumni who will be attending and speaking at this event. Ask that God would use this weekend to deepen relationships within the community, strengthen the attendee’s faith, and be a time of learning and refreshment.
Pray that our new executive team would lead with grace, humility, and wisdom. Give them passion and energy and help them properly balance their time and commitments. Pray that God would use their skills and personalities to richly bless the CU Vox community and the campus as a whole.
Pray for the success of our evangelistic efforts this term. Give us boldness to proclaim the beauty and truth of the gospel to all corners of campus. Pray that God would provide large and small opportunities for the CU Vox students to share their faith with friends and classmates.
