What a blessing it is to work for a God who is infinitely creative! He gives us the comfort of routine, but gives us unending variety and newness within it. As we begin this next year, looking forward with profoundly high hopes, I am filled with excitement at the idea that God can do even more than anything I could come up with.
The class of 2028 is here! Trips students arrived Sep 4th, and the last first-years came to campus on Sep 8th. With their long-awaited advent, our preparation ends and our work begins! The upper-class welcoming team has already been at work to reach out to them by social media this summer, and now we begin 4 weeks of intense outreach. This first month is an incredibly vulnerable period for the first-years, and we want to make sure that each and every one of them is invited to a vibrant, compelling Christian community. This outreach quite literally sets the direction of students' lives and affects generations to come for the glory of God.

Pray for us. Whether you follow along in our prayer guide, or pray on your own, we need your prayers! The student welcomers will be doing one-on-one meetings, large group events, daily prayer sessions, and smaller group events every day for these four weeks. Please pray for strength and wisdom for them. This time is intense! They are reconnecting, starting their own term and classes, and reaching out to first-years all at the same time. And the workers are few, but our God is able!
