Dear CU Gloria Cornerstone Partners and Friends,
It is hard to believe that 2020, a truly eventful year with all its ups and downs, has finally come to an end. God has seen CU Gloria and our students through all the unexpected turns that met us this year like needing to shift early on in the spring semester to Zoom Bible courses and Zoom Doxas (our Leadership Lecture Series) and maintaining that momentum through the fall semester as well.
Freshman Campaign this year was different, both for the ministry fellows and especially for the freshman class of 2024, whose first semester on campus was unlike any in history. We thank God for still being able to reach out to the 2024s and welcome them into Christian community. CU Gloria’s Student Exec team and leaders have been innovative, creative, and resilient in the face of all the obstacles they faced. They tactfully and with brilliance led many ministry teams virtually such as worship, Doxa, discipleship, and first-year outreach.
With the semester having just wrapped up, CU Gloria is staying active during winter break by offering weekly “winter workshops” on topics such as spiritual warfare and hearing God’s voice. There are also two large reading groups that will be meeting regularly to discuss C.S. Lewis’ Screwtape Letters and Relationship Goals by Pastor Mike Todd. Thankfully, the community is still being built, and the students are continuing to be ministered to and encouraged to seek the Lord.
Please join us in praying for the following:
- That the Lord would guide the leadership transition process, especially with choosing the new student Exec Team.
- That God would save many more students at Harvard, and add to the several students who came to faith in 2020.
- That God would use the winter workshops to edify and equip the students to walk in faith and put Jesus first in their lives.
- That God would bring peace and revival to our nation, and especially to Harvard’s campus.
