Greetings from Cambridge,
I remember my first experience at pre-retreat in our first month on the job in the Fall of 2017. I was blown away as I witnessed dozens of Harvard students worshiping Jesus passionately and praying with an intensity I had rarely seen. I knew immediately this was a special community and that God was doing something spectacular here. I am grateful as I reflect on how the Lord has continued to sustain this love and zeal and spiritual fervor among the CU Gloria students.
While many of the students are now away for the summer, and there are no retreats or Leadership Lecture Series over the summer, I’m glad students are still gathering for weekly Bible study. Our Summer Bible study through the book of Daniel is now in its fourth week. The students who are local this summer have been meeting at the office, with many dialing in via zoom from California to Nova Scotia and everywhere in between. In less than two months the students will make their way back to campus and we will be getting ready for another pre-retreat, but in the meantime…
Please pray with us:
- That the Lord will use the Daniel Bible study to encourage students through the summer.
- That student leaders will continue walking with the Lord and grow in their faith even while abroad or at home.
- That staff will be well rested and refreshed during summer break.
- That we will be able to find affordable and suitable office space this summer.
- For the efforts of the student leaders as they befriend the incoming class of 2026.
