Merry Christmas! Classes have ended and finals have commenced at the University of Pennsylvania. Our students are dealing with the stress of finals, but also the anticipation of an extended break.
Since Thanksgiving, CU@Penn has been busy: our final two Philia (Leadership Lecture Series) meetings were about faith and vocation, helping our students have a vision for their Christian faith in the world of finance and business. Our Bible Courses completed the book of Hebrews, which was both challenging and edifying. Our ministry teams are seeking to bless the students around them with prayer, care packages, and fellowship. As the students finish up exams and head home for their winter break, would you pray for the following?
- strength, endurance, and hope during these last few days of the semester – particularly as they go through the grind of final exams (Hebrews 12.12; Romans 15.13), leaning into Jesus as they make the final push to the term’s finish line.
- sweet time with family and friends over the break – that conversations would draw towards the Gospel as our students’ share their (for some, new) faith with others (Ephesians 4.15).
- rest for the CU@Penn staff, as we travel to visit family in Iowa, Brooklyn, or right here in Philly.
- joy in the hope of the Gospel as we remember God’s faithfulness and grace in coming to dwell among us (Matthew 1.23).
- joy in fellowship at our CU Staff Conference in early January (1 Cor. 1.10)
- fresh vision for the Spring semester to reach those on campus who don’t know Christ (1 Peter 3.15)
- that our lives and words would be compelling to a searching world.
Thank you so much for your continued prayers. We could not do this without you.
God bless you, and Merry Christmas!
In Christ our King,
