Dear CU Martus Cornerstone Partners and other friends of the ministry,

The semester has begun at the University of Pennsylvania. There have been so many days where I’ve been encouraged through conversations with our students. I am so thankful to be able to minister here!

Unsurprisingly, the conversations I am having with students new and old are not taking place in Houston Hall, nor out on College Green (where the leaves create a beautiful canopy of color this time of year), nor even in a campus coffee shop. Rather, the meetings are via Zoom. I’m reminded often of what a great luxury even this two-dimensional venue is!

As our Freshmen Campaign continues, would you join me in praying for:

  • For Penn’s class of 2024. Instead of making friends in the Quad or at Hill College House, our freshmen are making friends via ubiquitous Zoom calls or emails or texts. Pray that these young Christians would find community quickly!
  • For creative, innovative ways the upperclassmen can build a bridge to our new students. Pray for our Brogram mentorship program, which matches our freshmen students with their older peers.
  • For God’s power to be manifest in our Bible courses and meetings. That Jesus would be exalted and His Spirit would convict and comfort. That the name of Jesus would be on students’ lips throughout the day.
  • For the hope of the Gospel to sustain His people throughout this season of COVID!

May God bless you and sustain you, brothers and sisters in Christ, as you continually lift up your friends here at Penn and around the country!

In His Grip,

Tucker Else
