Greetings from Penn!
Hope this finds you well!
As we look to the year ahead we have a few exciting things on the horizon, particularly our winter retreat, Bible courses, and prayer workshops.
Our upcoming winter retreat will be at Refreshing Mountain in Stevens, PA where we will be discussing the Holy Spirit and the gospel. Our guest speaker will be Michael Miller. He is very adept at giving this type of presentation, as he has had this type of conversation with many local and international churches, at conferences, and with church leaders. Please be praying with us:
- that students would be inspired to live in greater faith and obedience in the Holy Spirit;
- that students would be challenged by the scriptures and further examine their understanding of the scriptures; and
- that students would deepen their relationships with one another, as to build friendships that last a lifetime.
Finally, please continue to pray for a Women’s Ministry Fellow. There is a harvest here at Penn, please join me in praying - “therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest” (Matt 9:38).
- Freshmen will be inspired to seek God wholeheartedly and further love him in their obedience.
- Freshmen will see God’s design for sex within marriage and receive healing and wholeness in Christ for any sexual sins.
- Sophomores and juniors will have fresh fillings of the Holy Spirit in Bible courses and be inspired to live as in the day of Acts.
- Seniors would gain wisdom and understanding for Christian living and the future plans that the Lord has for them (Jer 29:11-13).
Lastly, the students and I have developed a prayer guide to help equip us during our times of prayer. Our plan is to use this prayer guide as a launching pad for prayer and to also hold prayer workshops to train students on how and what to pray, as the scriptures teach. My hope is that students will be further equipped in the act of prayer and also have their faith bolstered to pray wholeheartedly and fervently. Please pray with us:
- that students would hunger and thirst for righteousness;
- that students would learn to persist in prayer as they ask, seek, and knock, and
- that students would take on the yoke of Christ in prayer so that we may see the kingdom come to earth.
As always, I am deeply grateful for your support and can feel the effects of your prayers for Penn and our students here.
Blessings,
