Hello CU Caritas Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,
Warm greetings from Christian Union Caritas! A good number of students—especially seniors—are back on campus. Also back is water in the fountains, which I hear many students are enjoying! In a year largely characterized by difficulty for connection and community, our ministry has been extremely blessed and encouraged by this year’s leadership transition. Firstly, our outgoing leadership team was incredible throughout this past year. We especially thank God for Isaiah and Jira, who led the team with dedication and maturity, even though this past year was not exactly what they signed up for. Our experience together this year would have been significantly diminished without them. We were also blessed by Isaiah’s steadfast leadership for a bonus fifth year because of his co-term status this year. As Isaiah passes the baton, this marks our first time without one of our founding members from the Fall of 2016 on our executive team!
Nevertheless, we have an abundance of reasons to be deeply encouraged about the year to come. Our new leadership team is the largest it has ever been! This is so obviously God’s provision, and I think also a mark of the excitement of our students to return to Stanford this upcoming academic year with an eagerness to grow a stronger and more encouraging community than ever before. Would you take a moment to pray for these new leaders (Rachel, Jira, Nathan, Ryan, Christina, Delali, Claire, Carly, Jackie, Sarah, and a few others who may yet step into a role before the fall)? Each of them is “His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10). May God continue to equip them for all he desires to do in and through them this coming year!
Thank you once again for your support and partnership in the good news of Christ through your prayers, gifts, and friendship. We couldn’t exist without you!
