Hello CU Caritas Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,
Warm greetings from Palo Alto!
I’m sending a brief prayer letter this month since our family (which includes four kids age six and under) has just moved back to California! To say there is a lot unpacking and settling in left to do is an understatement! We are so excited to be back on location in preparation for students to arrive mid-September. And we would love your prayers for us. Many aspects of the move are thrilling, others are hard or stressful. Each of the six of us needs the fruit of the Spirit in our dealings with one another. May God cause us to grow in grace (rather than in bad habits) during this transition! And may we complete the move-in process with enough time to catch our breath before students arrive.
We’re also praising God that Christian Union has hired Susan Brown as a part-time ministry fellow for Stanford! She has been a tremendous blessing especially to female Stanford students in past years as a volunteer, and our community is beyond ecstatic to have her back in an even more significant capacity. Please pray for Susan and her family as they gear up for this quarter!
And of course, please pray for the students as they prepare to arrive in just a couple weeks. Pray especially for those who will be coming to Stanford for the first time (freshmen and most sophomores), and that many of them will find a warm welcome among the body of Christ at Stanford and get plugged into Christian community from the very beginning!
So grateful for your partnership in prayer.
Warmly in Christ,
Justin Woyak
