We are excited to share what’s been happening among our students at Stanford and ask that you join us in prayer for more of God’s power among us to accomplish his purposes!
Near the end of the spring quarter, eight of our students traveled to Camp of the Woods in New York to attend Spiritus, a two-week conference for current and upcoming student leaders in Christian Union’s ministries to take their faith and lifestyle of seeking God to the next level.
Since Stanford’s spring quarter ends so late, our students were only able to attend for a weekend; nevertheless, all eight were overwhelmingly grateful for the experience, calling it “amazing,” “such a good time [with] much spiritual gain,” and “nothing short of life changing.” Several of our Stanford students committed to Daniel Spirituality at the end of their time at the conference—praise God!
- Please pray that these eight will grow stronger and stronger in their passionate pursuit of God and be filled with His Spirit and power to bring God’s kingdom near in all they do.
We also got to celebrate 13 incredible bachelor's and co-terminal master's graduates this June.
We will miss them dearly, but we send them off with God’s blessing, and are full of gratitude for the time God gave us with each of them. Equally excellent—several of our recent grads are sticking around for one or more quarters or years for Master’s and Ph.D. programs at Stanford, meaning we get to continue to see how God will shape them and work through them at Stanford this coming year!
- Please pray for all these recent grads—that God will draw near to them, grant them persevering faithfulness and increasing love for Himself and their neighbors, and glorify Himself through them!
Looking ahead to the upcoming year, we are praying for the new students coming to Stanford this fall, that God will bring revival among them and send out many of them as “laborers into his harvest” (Matthew 9:37) at Stanford and beyond.
- Please pray for us as we plan and reach out to freshmen this fall that hundreds of these new students will be welcomed into Christian communities at Stanford, including Christian Union!
- Please also pray for our pre-retreat, three days and two nights during the week before the fall quarter begins. May it be an incredible time of connecting with God before the start of the new year, reconnecting with each other, and strategizing for the purposes of God’s kingdom among the incoming freshman class. The first few weeks of college are so pivotal for the trajectory of one’s life, and we pray that God will set many on the path of following Christ in the first weeks of the upcoming fall quarter!
