Greetings from Stanford!
As we near the end of the winter quarter, we rejoice in God’s continued goodness to our community and are grateful for your steadfast prayers and support.
A Second Retreat: Hungering for More of God
Our January retreat was such a meaningful time that students were eager for more time away with God and each other! In response, we had a second one-night getaway on March 7-8 to draw near to God together. Over three sessions, we read 1 John aloud three times, discussed its rich truths, worshipped our God who is light (1 John 1:5) and love (1 John 4:8, 16), and spent significant time praying for each other and for our campus. It was a deeply refreshing and spiritually strengthening time for all who attended!
Proclaiming Christ at Stanford: Cliffe and Stuart Knechtle’s Visit
On March 3, Cliffe and Stuart Knechtle visited campus, boldly proclaiming Christ and engaging students in deep conversations about difficult questions of faith. The crowd grew to nearly 250 students toward the end, with still more stopping by throughout the four-hour event in White Plaza. In the days since, I’ve heard several testimonies of how students have had many conversations with their non-believing friends about Christ, the gospel, and faith. Cliffe and Stuart’s example emboldened students in their faith, and we see clear evidence that God is at work in hearts on our campus!

Welcoming New Visitors
We've seen an uptick in visitors recently at Venture, our weekly Leadership Lecture Series that includes a time of worship and prayer, and at our Bible courses. We are so thankful to God for each of these visitors! Please pray for God's grace for each of them, and that they would find in Him the meaning, fulfillment, and joy that they seek.
Ways You Can Pray:
- Spiritual Growth: Pray that students would continue to hunger for God’s Word, live in His light, and be strengthened in their faith.
- Campus Ministry: Ask God to open doors for gospel conversations and to draw many students to Himself through our ministry.
- Leadership Development: Pray for wisdom and discernment as we raise up student leaders who will serve and share Christ’s love on campus.
- New Visitors: Pray that those who have been visiting Venture and our Bible courses would experience God's love and be drawn into deeper faith and community.
Thank you for standing with us in prayer. Your partnership makes a real difference, and we are so grateful to labor alongside you for the sake of Christ at Stanford.
In Christ,
