Yale University

Happy 2018 & thank you for your continued prayers for us! We are grateful for your steadfast support in prayer, and I want to thank you for praying for our staff team and our students over Christmas break.

Grace and Peace to you from God Our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. Here we are a week out from Christmas! Our students have been writing Advent Devotions on Facebook for the last few weeks with various challenges to seek God, practice thankfulness, and otherwise prepare ourselves for the King. I hope that you have been (or will be) able to prepare as well, but the amazing fact still remains that Jesus Christ has come to us, even when we weren't ready. His grace meets us right where we are—dead in our sins—and through his death and resurrection, we are “made alive together with Christ” (Ephesians 2:5). These are truly tidings of comfort and joy!

Dear Prayer Partners,

Greetings in the Lord Jesus Christ!  Thank you for your continued prayers for our students, our staff, and Yale University as a whole.  As we’re wrapping up our study of Paul’s letter to the Philippians this week and next, I’m reminded of Philippians 1:3-5 that we “thank God in all our remembrance of you … because of your partnership in the gospel”.  Both through your prayers and the help of Spirit of Jesus Christ (Phil 1:19), we are confident in the Lord that He will continue to build his kingdom here at Yale.

Dear Prayer Partners,

Thank you for your continued support and prayers. We could not do what we do without you lifting us up in prayer. Thank you for your prayers, please keep them coming!

Dear Prayer Partners,

It's hard to believe that the summer is nearly over and our staff conference is right around the corner!

We're delighted to announce the addition of Michael Racine, a Brown and Yale alumnus, to our staff as men's ministry fellow. We now have a "complete" team and couldn't be more hopeful about how God will use Christian Union at Yale this coming year.

Dear Prayer Partners,

Thank you for your prayers! Our first year welcoming campaign is winding down and we have been so encouraged by the depth of faith of some students as well as the openness to the gospel of others.

at Yale University

PenningtonCenter

The James W.C. Pennington Center has been significantly strengthening Christian witness and influence at Yale since 2014. Located at 31 Whitney Avenue, the property is one block from Timothy Dwight Hall and two blocks from Cross-campus.

The Pennington Center is a resource for Yale students, faculty and staff to learn about the Christian worldview. The center provides office and meeting space for fellowship, biblical teaching, leadership training, mentorship, and personal and intercessory prayer.

Unlock Yale’s Potential

Currently the ministry rents out the first floor to offset the mortgage costs on the facility.

With the full use of the Center, Christian Union will not need to use campus facilities for many ministry events and will not be hindered if the university should discriminate, as in 2012 when it stripped the BYX Christian fraternity of official recognition (Christian Union helped students to regain recognition).

Dear Partners in Prayer,

Another academic year is behind us and we are so grateful for your prayers and support! We could not do the work that we do without your generous support! Thank you!

Dear Partners in Prayer,

We covet your prayers as our student leadership has undertaken an enormous outreach effort--to reach every senior before he or she leaves Yale. At midnight on February 16, the email below was sent to the 1,322 members of the senior class. By 10am it had been opened by more than 1000 people.
