Impudent prayer is needed and pleases our Father, who longs to reward His children who ask and seek Him. Christian Union New York invites you to join us in the Lord’s divine offer to present our requests before the Lord, with thanksgiving (Phillipians 4:6).
Please pray with and for Christian Union New York this September, uplifting three exciting kingdom prayer requests before our Lord Almighty!
1) New graduates moving to NYC
Please pray for new CU University graduates and young professionals who are moving to NYC to get tightly enfolded with the larger body of Christ here in NYC, with Christian Union, and with each other. Pray that as they move and begin their careers, they would seek Jesus and His kingdom first and be able to find and commit to a new church home in the city.
Praise the Lord for the first ever gathering of some of these young alumni, most of whom just graduated and arrived in NYC a matter of weeks and days ago. CU New York and these new CU graduates had an absolute blast, with rapid friendships forming, phone numbers exchanged, and one of the new graduates saying, “I found my people.”
2) Selecting and Inviting Guest Speakers for the Year Ahead
Pray for the Lord’s wisdom and guidance to select and invite guest speakers for this year’s speaker series. May the Lord use each speaker to transform hearts and minds and develop and connect Christian leaders for kingdom impact and cultural change here in our city! ‘Not by might, not by power, but by the Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty (Zecharaiah 4:6)!
3) Planning a potential new, major ministry initiative
Please uplift CU New York’s Board of Directors, Matt Bennett, and myself in direct prayer to the Lord, as they prayerfully discuss and collaborate on a potential new, major ministry initiative here in NYC! Pray for the Holy Spirit to speak clearly to each of us, guiding us with wisdom and strategy to accomplish a God-sized new ministry mission! Unless the Lord builds the house, those who labor build in vain (Psalm 127:1).
Thank you for your earnest, fervent prayers to our Father who longs to hear the prayers and cries of His children!
In Christ,
Karen Hetzler
