Greetings,
Christian Union at Columbia continues to experience God’s grace as we minister to the students on campus. We recently wrapped up a successful Freshman Campaign, in which we attained all our goals for the new freshman class. These students are enthusiastic new members of our family here at Columbia. We also had an impactful Fall Conference. For the conference, the staff chose to focus on the topic of wisdom, giving a series of talks from the book of Proverbs. Feedback from those in attendance was that it was one of our best Fall conferences yet. The students loved the talks we gave, and we were privileged to see one Freshman give her life to Christ during student prayer after one of the main sessions. We were also told that the conference was successful at causing friendships to form among students who usually don’t have much interaction with each other.
Here are ways you can partner with us:
- Please pray for and consider donating to the acquisition of a new ministry center. By God’s grace, Christian Union has 92% of the funding needed, however in the past few days the owner significantly accelerated his timeline, so that we will need to provide the remaining funds by November 1. If we are successful in acquiring this center, it would radically improve our effectiveness in ministry.
- Pray for our new ministry director and his wife, Lane and Michelle Young, as they continue the process of transitioning to New York City.
- Pray for God to bring growth to the seeds that are being planted and watered during our Bible courses, mentoring, and Illumina meetings.
- Pray that we can exceed our goals for student attendance at the Nexus conference in February.
Thank you for your continual prayers and support for Christian Union. We continue to thrive because God has graced us with many faithful partners in ministry. We look forward with great anticipation for what God will do to transform Columbia University.
In service to Christ,
