Dear CU Lumine Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Greetings from Christian Union Lumine at Columbia! We praise God for partners like you in supporting the work He is doing through this ministry.

The Spring 2021 semester is officially over along with final exams. The last week of April was graduation and it was a beautiful sight to see seniors in the graduation gowns walking all around campus and Morningside Heights. Of course, graduation was not held normally this year, but I was encouraged to see our students make the most of this important moment.

The students are now either taking classes for their Summer A semester, on a break, or gearing up for internships. Due to Covid, Columbia University has created a new third semester called Summer A semester. Classes run from May until the end of June followed by the Summer B semester. We are preparing to restart our LLS and Bible courses for the Summer A semester. We actually have more of our students on campus for this semester than we did in the spring. I look forward to being able to meet them one-on-one in person in the next few weeks!

As we come to the end of the spring semester, please join us in praying for:

  • Graduating seniors: Pray for them as they transition into life after college. Pray for those starting new jobs, looking for new jobs, or continuing their education.
  • One-on-one discipleship: Pray for deep, meaningful conversations with students. Pray for those that are struggling in their faith and for those that seek to grow in their walk with God. Pray that God would use these one-on-one times to strengthen and grow individuals.
  • New student executive team & new ministry team leaders: Pray for the new student leadership team: Priscilla, Feven, Jonathan, Chase & Grace-Elleda. Pray that God would give them wisdom & favor to lead this ministry. Pray for the new 13 student leaders that are helping run the different ministry team this upcoming semester.
  • Spiritual hunger and thirst: Pray that the students would have a deep hunger for the things of God: prayer, worship, Christian community, and reading scripture during the summer.
  • Raising up new financial partners: we know that we can’t do this ministry without supporters like you. Join us in praying that God would bring new Christ-minded friends of this ministry to help rebuild CU Lumine at Columbia through their financial support.

Thank you for your love and partnership at CU Lumine. We could not do this without your prayers.
