Dear CU Lumine Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

What a year this has been so far, particularly for university students. Columbia University announced it will reopen for new students and returning students for the Fall 2021 semester. There are already signs of life on campus and in NYC as students are slowly coming back and moving on to campus.
I am excited to be heading out to Spruce Lake, PA for our Pre-Retreat with our student leaders and freshmen welcomers. This will be a time of seeking God together, reconnecting with friends and planning out our Freshman Welcoming Campaign. Honestly, our pre-retreat getaway will be a wonderful and refreshing break for students as we reorient our hearts back to God before they begin a semester full of academics and activities. This year’s theme will be “Living out Community in Christ”.

We are looking forward to welcoming students back on the campus and seeing them move into John Jay, Schapiro, Ruggles or one of the many dorms and connecting with new freshmen during NSOP (New Student Orientation Program).

Would you join us in praying for:

  1. Columbia’s class of 2025: Pray for the new students joining Columbia and engaging in all the traditional activities of NSOP. Pray that their hearts would be encouraged and God-ordained meetings would take place with CU Lumine upperclassmen.
  2. NSOP: Pray for all the different events happening for new students. Pray also for the CU Lumine events that are planned with the hopes of connecting with new students. Pray that students looking for Christian community or seeking God would connect with the ministry and students.
  3. Student leaders: Pray that God would give them strength and wisdom as they lead this ministry and take on new responsibilities this Fall.
  4. Raising up new financial supporters: We know that we can’t do this ministry without Cornerstone Partners like you. Join us in praying that God would bring new Christ-minded friends of this ministry to help rebuild CU Lumine at Columbia through their partnership.
  5. Revival on campus: In the midst of unknowns, we know that God is able to do more than we can ask or imagine. Pray that God would continue to open eyes to respond to His call of grace and bring about a mighty wave of peace, joy and transformation so when campus reopens, we would meet students on fire for Christ.

Thank you for your love and partnership at CU Lumine. I could not do this without your prayers and support.
