Dear CU Lumine Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Greetings from New York City!

The students are back on campus after a much-needed vacation to decompress from all the stress from the fall semester. We are back to ministering to their needs as they finish shopping for classes and settle in for the spring semester.

We had our kickoff Lumine large group meeting on Thursday, January 23rd, with 54 students in attendance to hear a message on “The Cost of Discipleship”. We were able to provide the students with a Chick-fil-A meal, which they loved. During our second Lumine meeting we were able to minister to 52 students who heard a message on “God’s Plan for you is Bigger than your Current Reality”. We also kicked off our morning prayer Monday on Friday at 8am in Lerner Hall.

We just returned from our winter retreat this past weekend with 44 students attending at Harvey Cedars Conference Center. The theme was “Heart of God” based on Exodus 34:5-9 and Matthew 11:28-30. We had the opportunity to participate in praise and worship, hear encouraging messages, have small group discussions and time to get alone and hear from God.

We have nine Bible courses scheduled for this semester with approximately 70 students participating. The juniors-freshmen will be studying the Book of Acts and the seniors will be going through the Vocational Preparation curriculum to help them integrate the chosen careers with their faith.

Thank you for continued ongoing support of CU Lumine at Columbia University. It’s because of your generosity we are able to provide the programing to minister to our students. We want to make the name of Jesus the most talked about name on campus and are grateful for your prayers.

Blessings in Christ,

Craig Holliday
