The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me, because the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound; to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn – Isaiah 61:1-2
As always, I thank you for your prayers for us! We’ve reached the middle of the term, which at Dartmouth, with just 10 weeks each, means we’re already near the end. But God has been moving! Vine, our weekly Leadership Lecture Series, is well-established, with consistent live worship, regular guest speakers, student testimonies, and more. Our student leaders' vision is beginning to broaden as well now that our immediate needs of the beginning of the term are solved, dreaming of how we can impact the campus for the Kingdom of God.
Hearing our student testimonies at Vine each week has been truly inspiring. Proverbs 2:6 says “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding”, but few take it literally. Well, the students of CU Vox sure do! We’ve had multiple testimonies of students who, while studying for major exams, cried out to God and had him directly download information to them, either while studying or even on the exam itself. They went from failing to acing it! The joy on their faces as they recount their testimonies of God’s work is truly beautiful! It’s one thing to know theoretically that God works, another to hear about it happening somewhere else far away, but there is something special about God showing up right on Dartmouth’s campus to bless and empower our students. Praise His name!
Please pray that God would bring us more students, that the Holy Spirit would bless and empower those that come, and that our student leaders would be able to accurately discern excellent leadership roles for every committed student.
Would you, also, be willing to consider blessing and empowering this ministry with a one time or recurring gift to support what God is doing at CU Vox or share this opportunity to grow God’s kingdom with someone in your life who might be interested:
