It’s leadership transition time here within Christian Union Vox at Dartmouth! This April marks the beginning of the tenure of our new leadership team. The leaders of our Outreach, Socials, Worship, and Leadership Lecture Series teams, alongside the President and Vice President, have been giving their specific goals to reach the campus and build transformative Christian leaders. Now comes the fun part: with the training, resources, coaching and vision of CU, how can they maximize the impact of the gospel on the campus?
This effort is buoyed up by three CU Vox students who sacrificed part of their spring break to attend CU Proclaim at CU Vita at Cornell University, a 5-day evangelistic conference where they were provided training and opportunity to share the gospel. By God’s grace, the fruit was enormous! In just that short time the students at the conference produced thousands of gospel exposures and led many people to the Lord! The returning students said it was “amazing”, “incredible”, and “so good”. One student shared, “I love sharing the gospel – it’s like iron sharpens iron.” They are full of joy, ideas, and stories for bringing that fire back here to Dartmouth. May it, indeed, be so!
CU Vox student, David Igbalajobi, jogs alongside three Cornell students to get a few more seconds to share the gospel at CU Proclaim!It’s also never too early to start planning for the fall, when the class of 2028 arrives on campus! We have begun recruitment for our Welcomers team, and are beginning the training and hype to get the students ready to welcome them to a vibrant, compelling Christian community.
Please pray for our new leaders, that they would be “shepherds after my own heart” (Jeremiah 3:15) for their fellow students. Pray that they will use their gifts well, and honor God. And finally, pray that the gospel will go forth here at Dartmouth and that we will have great fruit! The need is great, but God is greater, and our students are up to the task.
