There’s nothing like the simple gospel to change and inspire. Even in the midst of our First-Year welcoming campaign, this core remains true: that we do it all because of what Jesus did for us.
After that, it’s been all outreach and prayer, and our students have made extraordinary strides in reaching the class of 2028 with the love of God and the message of the gospel. We hosted dozens of events, from intimate one-on-one dinners to giant open-houses. It’s been so beautiful to see the joy on the faces of the 28s as they realized they’re not going to be alone here in their faith–that a vibrant, compelling Christian community is ready to embrace them and spur them onward. One student, a 28, told me “I had no idea – this surpasses my wildest dreams.” Another, after seeing the space and the team of people ready to change lives told me she was “overwhelmed in the best possible way.” God is so good!
The work now continues. All the 28s need to get added into our teams, and we need to keep building relationships with them. Vine has restarted, with great success (already double the size of last year!). There is nothing God can’t do, and it is our privilege that He chooses to work through us.
