Hey friends,
I hope this update finds you well, especially amidst a summer that no-one could have expected. Thankfully, ministry at Harvard has continued to take place over the summer, primarily through the summer Bible study of the book of Proverbs. These words from Proverbs 7 remind us of the central importance of the Word of God in our lives. The exhortation here is that as we treasure God’s words in our heart, then we can truly live. God’s desire for us is that we experience the abundant life he has for us, one full of joy, peace and contentment in Christ. That is also our prayer for our students during this season, as many of them will be studying remotely, taking a gap-year, or coming back to a completely different campus.
In the midst of some disappointment, however, namely Harvard bringing back to campus only the freshman class, we do have a huge praise. By God’s grace, Tyler Parker, who has been a part of the ministry at Harvard for over 6 years, is being brought on as a Ministry Fellow in spite of all the financial challenges. Tyler has been instrumental in God’s work on Harvard’s campus and we are excited and thankful to God for him joining the team on a 3/4 time basis.
Given that we will all be returning to a very different campus soon, we would love for you to join us in prayer for the following:
- That the Lord will meet our students during this season and strengthen their faith and fill them with hope.
- That we would be filled with wisdom, vision and creativity as we enter a new season of ministry.
- That God would work mightily both on campus with all the students who will be there, as well as online through the Zoom Bible courses and Doxas.
Thank you for your prayers and encouragement. We would love to hear from you, so please do reach out with any questions or prayer requests that you might have. God bless you.
