Q and A with Eileen Bakke and Kristen Short

Dear CU Vita Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Greetings from Ithaca and the CU Vita ministry. We are thankful for your partnership and prayers. As we enter the final stretch of the spring semester, we are looking back with gratitude for what God has been doing in our midst these recent weeks.

Dear CU Lumine Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Greetings from Christian Union Lumine at Columbia! We praise God for partners like you who support the work He is doing through this ministry.

The students are in finals week and seniors are preparing for graduation! It has been a beautiful sight to see seniors in the gowns walking all around campus and Morningside Heights, taking photos, and preparing for graduation in a few weeks.

Dear CU Libertas Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Greetings from Christian Union Libertas! We are so thankful for your partnership in supporting the work here at Brown.

The students are in the middle of reading week, studying for final exams, and putting the final touches on papers and group projects. Our seniors are looking forward to commencement exercises later this month.

Dear CU Vox Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Hello from Hanover and greetings from CU Vox. We are midway through spring term and rapidly approaching graduation. We have much in front of us in the life of this ministry and are excited about what God is doing on campus. A few brief highlights from the past month are: a successful and enjoyable student retreat, the new student executive team is settled in and thriving, and attendance in Bible courses is up. All of this wonderful gospel work is only possible because of God’s faithfulness, the efforts of the students, and your prayerful support.

Dear CU Gloria Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Nostalgia: a sentimental longing or wistful affection for the past, typically for a period or place with happy personal associations.

Greetings from Cambridge!

I have had the privilege of watching a lot of senior skits through the years, but the underclassmen who impersonated their beloved senior friends the other day were truly next level. In several scenes and for fifteen minutes their silly lines and exaggerated gestures wonderfully captured each person’s personalities and idiosyncrasies.

How Christians Can Effect Cultural Change

By David John Seel, Jr., Ph.D.

Christian leaders in the marketplace and in vocational ministry are uniquely "change agents"they want to make a difference with their lives. However, almost all the models and approaches presented to them for social or cultural engagement are premised on individual action. This could be their undoing.

CU Lumine Prepares Students for Service

By Anne Kerhoulas, Staff Writer

Stan Thomas assumed the ministry director position at Christian Union Lumine on Columbia’s campus in January of 2020. Little did he know, in the coming months the students he was just beginning to connect with would be soon scattered across the globe due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Two years later, however, Thomas is faithfully leading and equipping students at Columbia with the gospel and preparing them for a life of discipleship and service.

Werchan ’23 Emerges as a Leader for CU Martus

By Tom Campisi, Staff Writer

Seth Werchan appreciates every moment he can play baseball this spring, whether it’s using his speed to stretch a single into a double or roaming the green grass of the outfield and camping under a fly ball.
