CU New York Forum with Dr. Michael Brown
Christian Union New York invited Christian Union Alumni, CU New York participants, and friends of Christian Union to join us on March 17, 2022 at 7:30pm for a virtual forum with Dr. Michael Brown.
Event Topic: What will heal the deep racial, social, and political divisions that are tearing us apart? How can we stop the evil of human trafficking? What can turn the rising tide of opioid addiction? What will cure the epidemic of fatherless homes? Man-made laws and policies don’t hold the answers. Social programs and initiatives fall hopelessly short. There is no political solution. Dr. Michael Brown presents a prophetic “state of the union” address, offering a candid look at the United States and revealing why our only hope is a true spiritual awakening.
Event Summary: With the bold title of “Revival or We Die,” Dr. Michael Brown explored the unique distinctions of spiritual revival and the urgency of a spiritual revival needed in America today. Although God is always present with us as Immanuel, Dr. Brown defines revival as an unusual and intense visitation by God that is marked by a clear beginning and end, bringing repentance and gospel-based moral and cultural revolution spilling out into the lives of a community.
In speaking about the ominous rise of anti-biblical agendas sweeping across America, Dr. Brown boldly declared: “These are serious issues, and the only thing that is going to turn the tide is revival in the church.” Audience members walked away invigorated and emboldened to echo the prayers of the prophet in Habakkuk 3:2 (ESV): “O Lord, I have heard the report of you and your work, O LORD… In the midst of the years revive it; In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy.”
