Ministries

Dear CU Nova Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Greetings from Princeton! God is on the move here in Christian Union Nova and I’m excited to share with you some of the amazing things that are happening!

On March 1st, we welcomed local pastor Ian Graham, who gave a powerful message on the parable of the prodigal son. Many came forward at the end for prayer, as it touched the hearts of students. I think this was just what they needed before their midterms week and spring break.

Dear CU Caritas Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

I am thrilled to introduce myself as the new ministry director of CU Caritas at Stanford. My name is Marcus Preciado, and I am elated to have joined this incredible team and community. It has been a wonderful experience to be on campus this past month, engaging and connecting with the CU students. Witnessing their love and devotion to Christ has been truly inspiring. I can already see the Lord's mighty hand moving within the ministry.

I have had the privilege of joining the students in prayer, devotionals, and fasting. I have especially enjoyed attending Venture, our Leadership Lecture Series. It is quite encouraging to see so many students committed to growing as Christian leaders, choosing to spend their Friday nights worshiping and seeking the Lord.

Dear Cornerstone Partners and friends of CU Lux,

Thank you for developing and connecting Christian leaders to transform culture at Yale for God's glory. We couldn't do it without you and your support!

We earnestly request your prayers for two of our upcoming large group events:

Dear CU Gloria Law Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

“The cost of salvation for us–nothing. The cost of faith–everything.”

This gospel truth dropped on our students this semester as we are studying through Genesis (which the students requested). For the past few weeks, we have been digging deep into and wrestling with the life of Abraham, from chapters 12-23. We have tracked the evolving relationship between Yahweh and Abraham, with a special focus on what we learn of who God is and what He is like. It gives us a very special view into the foundation of God’s redemptive narrative that ultimately helps us understand the heart of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And when we really know the gospel–both cognitively and experientially– it transforms us, setting us free to become the image-bearers of our Creator.

Greetings from NYC!

My name is Andy Woodard, and I am delighted to introduce myself to you. I've been hired as the new executive director for CU New York effective Monday, March 25th, the year of our Lord 2024.

I'm excited to share with you three things that brought me to Christian Union: first, the strategic vision for investing in key leaders by encouraging them to seek the Lord with their whole hearts; second, my own personal benefit from the ministry of Christian Union and Matt Bennett. I received and observed the power of this ministry to transform lives firsthand. Third, the mission of Christian Union is to wholeheartedly seek the Lord to bring about a great awakening in New York City.

Dear CU Lumine Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

Grace and Peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ. I am excited about how God has been moving in the lives of our students here at Columbia University through Christian Union Lumine.

We kicked off the semester with our first weekly Leadership Lecture Series (Illumina) meeting on Thursday, 1/18 with 59 students attending. Over the past several meetings we’ve had Nathaniel Peters (Morningside Institute), Pastor James Roberson (Bridge Church) and Lydia Dugdale (Columbia University) as guest speakers.

Dear CU Libertas Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

"Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle and set apart for the Gospel of God- the Gospel he promised beforehand through his prophets in the Holy Scriptures regarding his Son, who as to earthly life was a descendant of David, and who through the Spirit of holiness was appointed the Son of God in power by his resurrection from the dead: Jesus Christ our Lord." - Romans 1:1-4

Grace and peace to you in our Lord Jesus Christ!

Dear CU Vita Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

We are off to an exciting start to the spring semester here at Christian Union Vita at Cornell! The sun has been peeking through the normally gray skies more than it usually does during this time of year, and God has been pushing back against the kingdom of darkness as well! We’re celebrating what He is doing, and we want you to be able to celebrate with us as we share these with you.

First and foremost, we are praising the Lord for six students who have put their faith in Jesus this semester! This is an extraordinary blessing, and we are grateful for the movement of the Holy Spirit and allowing us to be a part of His work in bringing the lost to Himself. Your support allows us to carry out the ministry that makes this possible, so rejoice with us as part of the team of workers who were a part of this harvest. Pray that God continues to draw more and more students to a saving knowledge of Him!

Dear CU Vox Cornerstone Partners and friends of the ministry,

The Lord hasn’t stopped working, and neither have we here at Christian Union Vox at Dartmouth! As always in ministry work, our urgency remains undiminished. Jesus tells us in John 9:4 that “We must quickly carry out the tasks assigned to us by the one who sent us. The night is coming, and then no one can work.” If even Jesus, with all the resources of the Godhead at His disposal, felt urgency, how much more must we as we look out upon this lost and dying world! May we continue to have faith, rely on His grace, and work hard.
